June Community Creation Event - Kintsugi

Kintsugi

We invite youth and adults in recovery from Substance Use Disorder (and their families) to join our vibrant creative community to laugh and play with us.

Kintsugi, the ancient Japanese art of repairing broken pottery, embodies the philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection. This art form not only restores the functionality of broken objects but also enhances their aesthetic value by celebrating their history and transformation. Through the meticulous process of mending with lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum, kintsugi highlights the fractures and repairs as part of the object's unique story.

A light meal will be served!

Sunday, June 22 from 2-5 pm

Forest Park

Pavilion # TBD

PLEASE RSVP with the form above, or to Jennifer at (314) 656-8222 or jennifer.lunceford@hopecreates.org so we will have plenty of art supplies and food for all.
