Hope Creates Tagline

How are you feeling? I wanted to reach out to you in this uncertain time to let you know that Hope Creates will continue our mission. We have some ideas about how we can bring comfort and hope to you and our members with virtual meetings and programs. We had to move our Sunday, March 22, Third Degree Glass event in St. Louis to Sunday, June 7. Watch our eNews for more details and updates.

Please be in touch if you would like to share your feelings or ideas. Here is what my family is doing while we are all sheltered in place. Since so much seems out of our control, Dale and I are focusing on what we can control. This allows us to feel powerful in some aspect in our life. We are organizing every room of our home. While sorting through our garage, I discovered art supplies and broken jewelry I had boxed up and forgotten. I am now using these supplies and others to make a daily creation of some kind. I'll post them on our Facebook page and encourage you to do the same.

It may seem trivial in light of all that is going on. Yet this daily act of creating brings me hope, beauty and some sense of control over my life. What little things might you do everyday to create joy in your day?

I invite you to do the same. Find a small act that you can do daily to bring joy to yourself and others. Pick an area in your room or home that you can organize. You could create a song, poem, flower arrangement, craft, video, photograph, painting or drawing. Let's use our imaginations towards the positive.

We Celebrate Our Partners

The Next Step

The Next Step Scholarship Committee

Scholarship Applications are due April 1st.

The Next Step is an amazing partner with a remarkable mission. While we have down time, reach out to those you know in recovery who want to advance their education. Their deadline is April 1.

Last year, The Next Step helped 73 individuals in recovery take the next step in their education. This year, they want to help even MORE. Their vision is to help ALL individuals in the St. Louis metropolitan area, who are in a 12-step recovery program and meet defined scholarship criteria, achieve their educational goals. Help them find those people! If you know someone in recovery who is ready to take the next step in their education, encourage them to apply today. This is the perfect time to envision a brighter future!

If you would like to submit an application via mail or email, please download the PDF application.
